Trauma center organization and verification for current therapy of trauma and surgical critical care

Since the introduction of the trauma center verification process by the American College of Surgeons and its document Resources for the Optimal Care of the Patients, many trauma centers have been verified both in the United States and some countries overseas. This chapter covers in great detail the process to achieve such distinction.
