Resumen

Male Sprague-Dawley rats were used in the present study to assess the effects of chronic treatment of morphine on the striatal cholinergic system. The results demonstrate that neither short nor long-term morphine treatment had an effect on choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) activity or ³H- quinuclidinylbenzilate (³HQNB) binding in discrete striatal regions of the rat brain.
