Tenodesis of isolated proximal ruptures of the long head of the biceps brachii

Producción científica: Articlerevisión exhaustiva

Resumen

Traditionally, rupture of the long head of the biceps (LHB) is treated nonoperatively as the results with conservative management are quite good. However, there are several studies that do suggest functional, pain-related, and cosmetic deficits with untreated rupture, and certain populations may be more disabled than others. The technique of late tenodesis with structural repair of the LHB has not been reported in detail. We present a simple 2-incision technique for late advancement and repair of chronic LHB rupture.
