Resumen

Dumitru D. Strategic servitude: what has the Academy done for me lately? Arch Phys Med Rehabil 2004;85:1393-4. The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has constructed and implemented a comprehensive strategic plan geared toward service to its members, thereby constituting what I have termed strategic servitude. Our strategic plan is dynamic in nature and responsive to the changing environment. This dynamism is ensured by having the Academy's vice president in charge of revising the plan yearly and having all board motions tied to the strategic plan. I would encourage all members who would like to participate in the Academy's strategic servitude to contact the national office and request to serve on a committee of interest.
