Resumen

In a recent issue of Nature Chemical Biology, Emmanouilidis et al. (2024) investigate the maturation of biomolecular condensates of FUS^1-267 and probe the molecular details of droplet aging. They observe that the liquid-to-solid transition of the droplet is mediated at the surface by FUS^1–267 molecules that have adopted β-strand conformations.
