Orbital reconstruction

Producción científica: Short surveyrevisión exhaustiva

Resumen

Orbital reconstruction is often a multidisciplinary task involving the expertise of otolaryngologists, ophthalmologists, plastic surgeons, and prosthodontisis. Most reconstructive problems arise after the extirpation of neoplasms or after maxillofacial trauma. This article reviews the options available to the head and neck surgeon, with emphasis on the management of posttraumatic and post-extirpative defects of the orbital region.
