Resumen

Central nervous system sarcoidosis is associated with a poor prognosis, particularly with the onset of seizure activity. The authors report such a patient whose symptoms failed to respond to prednisone, but subsequently improved both with corticotropin and hydrocortisone. This patient demonstrates the potential benefit from the employment of alternative glucocorticoid preparations.
