Resumen

The gas-liquid chromatography of the n-amyl N-acetyl ester derivatives of a number of amino acids known to occur in the actinomycins is described. Preliminary studies indicate that this procedure may be employed in the analysis of hydrolyzates of these antibiotics with a sensitivity of at least 10-9 mole. Application of the procedure to the determination of the carboxyl terminal amino acids in an actinomycin is also described.
