We would like to replace the sentence starting on Line 14 of the Methods section “All of but one baboon (B3) were euthanized due to recurrent seizure activity or seizure-related injuries; B3 died suddenly and unexpectedly in his group cage, for no known cause (he had pulmonary edema and left ventricular hypertrophy on examination)” with the following: “All of but two baboons (B3,B5) were euthanized due to recurrent seizure activity or seizure-related injuries; both B3 and B5 died suddenly and unexpectedly, without any cause of death demonstrated on necropsy. B3 died nine months after she was implanted with a vagal nerve stimulator (VNS). B5 died while recovering from the surgical implantation of a responsive neurostimulator (RNS). Four seizures were recorded by the RNS one hour before he was found dead in his cage. Both cases were deemed to have succumbed to SUDEP.”.
