Resumen

The present stuies examined the effect of intraluminal PGE₂ and systemic indomethacin on sodium chloride transport in the superficial distal tubule of the rat nephron. Controlled quantities of sodium chloride delivery to this segment were provided by in vivo microperfusion techniques. Neither 2μm intraluminal PGE₂ 2 mg/kg body weight indomethacin given intravenously nor the combination of these agents affected sodium chloride transport in this nephron segment.
