Resumen

A variety of transplantable rodent tumors and a human colon carcinoma xenograft in nude mice appeared sooner and at higher incidence when the tumor cells were injected in the cell separating medium, Percoll, than in the phosphate buffered saline control. These observations have many implications relevant to cell separation, animal tumor models, and tumor progression.
