Resumen

This report is based on data derived from four years of clinical experience in helping cigarette smokers cease their habit by using acupuncture therapy. The authors do not know how needle insertions work to achieve the goal of smoking cessation; however, there is no doubt that the habit of cigarette smoking can be stopped through acupuncture treatment. The data in this report are intended to substantiate this claim. The report also includes a protocol of the methods used in the acupuncture clinic to achieve smoking cessation. Qualified practitioners who have the desire to use these procedures in their clinics should find that the methods described can be followed easily for their patients who wish to stop smoking.
