    Resumen

    Nurses need to use research findings to develop enhanced assessment skills, revise policies and procedures, and develop effective interventions so that research findings will translate to improved patient outcomes. The primary purposes of this article are (1) to identify barriers to using research in clinical practice and (2) to discuss effective ways to facilitate integration of research findings in clinical practice.
