Resumen

The acute effects of arginine vasotocin (AVT) on plasma levels of prolactin were determined in immature female rats on the second morning after treatment with pregnant mare serum (PMS). The use of urethane anesthesia, the dose of AVT and the time interval between peptide injection and blood sampling influenced whether an increase or decrease in levels of prolactin was observed.
