Resumen
A stimulator is described which generates biphasic, 100-Hz square wave pulses. The stimulator is small enough to be mounted on the skull of the rat. The stimulator design allows remote control of pulse-train duration and interpulse-train interval; stimulation current is adjusted by a potentiometer on the stimulator. Some of the difficulties associated with the use of monophasic stimulators are discussed, and it is suggested that the use of radio-controlled stimulators may eliminate the problem of crosstalk.
