Organization profile
At UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center, our patient-and-family-centered care means including those closest to the patient in all care and treatment decisions. This increased level of communication leads to deeper connections between the care teams and the patients, more satisfied patients and better outcomes. Our multidisciplinary approach to cancer care allows our teams to customize treatments according to each individual and their personal cancer journey.
As the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in South Texas, we contributeto the rapid pace of discovering the underlying causes of and treatments for cancer—so that our patients have access to more than 200 clinical trials specifically focused on cancer right here in San Antonio. These clinical trials can provide treatment options for patients at every stage of their disease. Our ongoing commitment to research is part of our mission to advance cancer care for every patient, every day.
