Abstract

In this review, the authors present current knowledge and research on the Zika virus, including epidemiology, symptom manifestations (collectively referred as 'Zika fever'), modes of transmission, as well as Zika-related complications including Guillain-Barré syndrome and congenital Zika syndrome.
