Abstract
A case of a 79-year-old Caucasian woman with complete dentures is reported. The case is considered unusual because the lesion was remarkably aggressive, even after surgery, and there was no history of alcohol or tobacco use. The patient admitted to wearing the dentures all the time, contrary to her dentist's advice. This case indicates that poor oral hygiene, chronic irritation, and/or ill-fitting dental prostheses may be predisposing factors for verrucous carcinoma.
