Abstract
Vascular rings are a well recognized cause of tracheobronchial and esophageal compression with resultant obstructive phenomena. The fact that these anomalies may masquerade as acute foreign-body aspiration is not widely appreciated. We recently documented a patient with an unusual vascular ring presenting with signs and symptoms mimicking foreign-body aspiration.
