Abstract

A number of bone marrow transplants have now been performed in SCID, aplastic anemia, and leukemia patients using non-HLA-identical donors that have been selected primarily because of compatibility in the mixed lymphocyte culture reaction (MLR). In this article we summarize the results that have been obtained for each of these patient groups using allogeneic bone marrow from donors other than HLA genotypically identical siblings.
