Tc-99m red blood cell scintigraphy in acute intrahepatic hematoma

A focal hot area on Tc-99m blood pool imaging of the liver is usually indicative of a cavernous hemangioma. This report illustrates the unusual finding of a neoplastic cold area with a coexisting hot area from acute intrahepatic hemorrhage.
