Abstract

We describe contrast medium ablation of the kidney as an alternative to alcohol ablation when the patient profile indicates a particular hazard such as a distal origin of an inferior adrenal artery. Although further investigation is warranted, iodinated contrast medium as an embolizing agent may prove a safer method altogether for therapeutic embolizations.
