Abstract

Pyoderma gangrenosum is a neutrophilic dermatosis of unknown etiology, but some studies have suggested that abnormal neutrophil chemotaxis relates to the disease. This paper reports the case of a 27-year-old woman with atypical presentation of pyoderma gangrenosum with no relevant medical history and no associated diseases at the time of diagnosis. The lesion was located in the head and neck, with good response to thalidomide and prednisone, this is an atypical presentation and not well known by the dermatologist and other specialists.
