Abstract

A short course of peritoneal dialysis was employed in seven infants and children ranging in age from nine weeks to twenty-eight months, who were in severe congestive heart failure which had failed to respond to usual therapeutic methods. The bases for selection of patients for this therapeutic maneuver are considered, and the plan of therapy is detailed.
