Abstract

Penetrating extracranial vertebral artery injuries are uncommon and at times associated with other cervical vascular injuries. Currently most are addressed with interventional radiological techniques of angiography and angioembolization. However, occasionally the trauma surgeon needs to deal with them operatively.
