Lipidomic Analysis of Glycerophospholipid Molecular Species in Biological Samples

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

In the chapter, analysis of cellular glycerophospholipid (GPL) molecular species based on the strategy of pattern recognition is described. The molecular mechanisms underpinning the fragmentation patterns of individual GPL classes are summarized. Finally, the fragmentation patterns of individual GPL classes, including ether-containing GPL subclasses, under a variety of experimental conditions are provided in some details. We hope the described strategy of pattern recognition and provided fragmentation patterns of GPL classes could aid the researchers in the field for lipidomic analysis of GPL molecular species in biological samples.
