Abstract

A 33 year old woman was admitted to hospital for fever of unknown origin. Leishmania donovani was found in histological preparations from lymph nodes and by sternal puncture. Circulating immune complexes present in high concentration were isolated and characterized. The circulating immune complexes remained elevated two months after the disappearance of Leishmania from the bone marrow.
