Abstract
The purpose of this article is to assess the impact of imaging on renal transplantation. In doing so, we will focus on problems that relate specifically to renal transplantation rather than on systemic complications that relate to previous renal insufficiency or chronic immunosuppression. Because many diagnostic tests are ordered primarily to exclude the presence of surgical complications as a cause of graft dysfunction, our discussion will begin there. The value of radiologic intervention will be discussed in this context. Finally, imaging of medical complications will be presented.
