Abstract
Twenty subjects with chronic tinnitus took frusemide on an escalating dosage schedule. Of the 12 who continued to the end of the 12-week study, only two claimed reduction of tinnitus. Subjects with durations of tinnitus less than 4 years were more likely to complete the study and to demonstrate reductions in tinnitus-match intensity.
