Abstract
Behçet's disease is an idiopathic systemic inflammatory vasculitis characterised by recurrent oral aphthous ulcers, genital ulcers, ocular and skin findings as well as vascular, neurological and gastrointestinal lesions. Acute optic neuropathy is rare in Behçet's disease. In this case report, we discuss a case of acute optic neuropathy as an initial complaint of non-diagnosed Behçet's disease in a 52-year-old male patient.
