Abstract
Electrosleep has been used in the treatment of insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Many treatments that are helpful in treating anxiety and depression also reduce chronic pain. Therefore, seven patients with chronic pain were treated with electrosleep. No patient reported significant improvement. Electrosleep does not appear to offer a useful treatment for chronic pain.
