Abstract

Nurse managers are the linchpin that holds the hospital nursing organization together. Therefore, it is essential to learn their aspirations for a positive workplace. In this article, nurse managers from five hospitals describe their desired future for creating a healthy workplace. Their descriptions resonate with components of Magnet hospitals plus add elements pertinent to creating a healthy workplace environment.
