Invasive candidiasis is a significant problem in immunocompromised patients. Candida cholecystitis, an uncommon complication of immunosupression, has been increasingly reported. Little is known, however, about the management of Candida cholecystitis or the pharmacokinetics of antifungal agents in the biliary tract. We therefore report the biliary pharmacokinetics of amphotericin B and the management of a child with cholecystitis caused Candida albicans.
