Abstract

The authors describe a rational approach to textbook selection, Including development of evaluation tools, criteria for evaluation, identification of important content areas for evaluation, selection of faculty experts to review and evaluate texts, and a method of data analysis. The evaluation process described is easy to use and results in a more objective and systematic process for textbook selection.
