A simplified technique for loop colostomy closure

Abstract

Stapling instruments have been used for gastrointestinal anastomoses and reconstruction with increasing regularity. A technique for loop colostomy closure employing a stapling device is described. This approach provides a secure closure while avoiding major contamination.
