A simple electronic device for gassing tissue culture vessels

Abstract

A device is described which will (a) mix 100% CO2 with compressed air in any desired proportion, (b) deliver the mixed CO2-air at any desired flow rate, and (c) permit automatic control of the time period for which gas flows. This device employs two solenoid valves controlling gas flow, a commercially available electronic timer, and two gas regulators.
