Abstract
An exercise to demonstrate the reinforcing effects of social attention in which workshop participants themselves were utilized as the modifiers of participation rates for targetted discussion group members is described. Data are presented indicating that the participants were successful in differentially attending, and consequently modifying, target members' participation. The exercise's impact on participants' perspectives on problem behaviors is discussed.
